Their idea? The world's first color-changing car.
As far as 2023 car technology goes, this is one of the more interesting concepts. Using "E Ink" technology, the vehicle can swap colors on demand, choosing from a whopping 32 colors. Its 240 E Ink e-paper segments can be controlled individually, meaning the car can shift from one solid color to another or move through a wide variety of patterns.

Ready Vision and Ready Care
The CES tech convention revealed more than color-changing cars. Another stand-out from this year's event was HARMAN's Ready Vision and Ready Care.
The goal of both of these concepts is safety.
Ready Vision uses augmented reality to project images on your vehicle's windshield. Rather than looking at a screen on your dashboard or the screen of your phone, images appear directly on the windshield in front of you. From GPS directions to 3D object detection, lane departures, blind spot warnings, and more, your windshield is now the main hub of communication.
Ready Care uses artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and machine learning to keep you safer. The main point of this technology is to prevent distracted driving, delivering personalized responses to those it deems distracted. Using cameras, sensors, and monitors, it can detect a driver's sleepiness, cognitive load, and attentiveness.

The Solar Sky Roof
Solar power is gaining steam, being used on the roofs of homes, RVs, and trailers all across the US. The natural progression of this idea is to have solar on our vehicles, right?
Well, Henrik Fisker thinks so.
It started with a glass roof, a popular feature of electric vehicles like Teslas. Fisker's version, on its Ocean SUV, takes it a step further and implements solar, too. The concept is both aesthetically pleasing and efficient.
Fisker readily admits the technology is expensive and difficult, but he's managed to make it work. The technology works best when the car is parked, where it converts the sun's rays to add up to 2,000 miles of range to your battery. That's 2,000 free, zero-emission miles added to your travels every year!
A Flat-Folding Steering Wheel
This technology doesn't use AI or AR, but it's an undeniable upgrade when done correctly—which Ford has managed to do.
Ford's E-Tourneo Custom, an electric minivan, has an interesting feature. When the vehicle is parked, the steering wheel can be converted into a table.
The rim of the wheel can tilt independently of the hub, allowing it to lie flat. A tab at the bottom of the wheel flips up, securing a tray into shape, making it a true table.
This update is particularly useful for individuals who travel for work. While you're waiting for your car to charge, have a meal, open your laptop, and enjoy the perks of a table in the comfort of your vehicle.
