The 2025 Chevy Tahoe is ready to take on your biggest adventures! We’re taking a closer look at five of the biggest advantages of the new Tahoe, including the high-powered engine, advanced safety, and durable exterior features.
5.3L V8 Engine and 10-Speed Automatic Transmission
The new Chevrolet Tahoe achieves an impressive 355 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 383 lb.-ft. of torque at 4100 rpm thanks to the 5.3L V8 engine. This engine has dynamic fuel management technology and is paired with an electronically controlled 10-speed automatic transmission. The 10-speed automatic transmission includes the Traction Select system with Tow/Haul mode to improve your SUV’s performance when trailering or hauling heavy cargo.
Front Fascia with Upper Active Aero Shutters
The 2025 Tahoe has bold exterior features that include a prominent front fascia with upper active aero shutters located inside. These shutters automatically close when you’re driving at high speeds, enhancing your SUV’s aerodynamics. When your speed slows down, the aero shutters reopen to help cool the engine department.
StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System
The new Tahoe has built-in StabiliTrak to maintain your SUV’s stability no matter what it encounters on or off the road. If you make a rapid emergency maneuver in the Tahoe, StabiliTrak automatically adjusts the brakes and your engine torque to keep the vehicle upright. This function activates when it detects a difference between your Tahoe’s intended path and the direction it’s actually traveling.
The StabiliTrak electronic stability control system also comes with traction control to help you tackle wet or icy terrains. StabiliTrak’s traction control applies brake pressure and reduces your engine power when it detects your wheels slipping on rainy or snowy roads.
7 Airbags
The Chevrolet Tahoe has an expansive cabin with seven airbags situated throughout for optimal protection in the event of a collision. This includes frontal airbags for both front passengers, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for both front passengers, and head-curtain airbags for all passengers in outboard seating positions. The Tahoe’s airbag system includes Passenger Sensing System, which illuminates a light on the instrument cluster to indicate whether the airbag is on or off.
Front and Rear Skid Plates
The Chevy Tahoe Z71 trim comes with front and rear skid plates that help protect your SUV’s oil pan, powertrain components, and front differential. If you upgrade to the available 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, these skid plates cover and help protect certain cooling components. The Tahoe Z71’s rear skid plates cover and help protect the transfer case.
