The 2025 GMC HUMMER EV SUV is eye-catching. It’s big and bold, with powerful lines, but these are just the tip of the iceberg in its appeal. We’re going to pop the hood, peek into the cabin check out the dashboard, and you’ll learn about some of its amazing highlights.
Air Ride Adaptive Suspension
This feature allows you to vary your ride height to adapt to different driving conditions, from driving in the city to climbing over obstacles or fording a stream.. It’s controlled by a selector button just below the gear selector. There are four modes to choose from: Entry/Exit, Aero, Increase, and Extract. Increase Mode also has two options.
Entry/Exit Mode lowers the suspension, making it easy to enter or exit the HUMMER. It also engages automatically when you shift into Park. Aero Mode adjusts the suspension to reduce drag from wind resistance, extending your range in the process. Increase Mode will raise your suspension slightly or up to 2″ above normal. Finally, Extract Mode will raise your HUMMER 6″ above normal clearance to tackle rough terrain.
CrabWalk
You can’t discuss the HUMMER without mentioning its signature CrabWalk Mode. This available mode allows you to do what non-Hummer drivers can only dream of doing, namely, move diagonally. This feature makes it easy to negotiate tight turns in rough terrain or move between rocks or other obstacles that block your path. You can also use it in the city to get into or out of tight parking spots. Let’s see how it works.
Your HUMMER needs to be stationary with the steering wheel centered to initiate CrabWalk. Once you’re in position, press and hold the 4-Wheel Steer button on the Driver Mode Control dial for six seconds, and an orange crab icon will appear on the driver display. The rear wheels will now move at the same angle as the front wheels, and you’ll drive diagonally. CrabWalk switches off when you push the button again or your speed exceeds 1.2 mph.
Interior Technology
When you sit in the driver’s seat, a large, crystal-clear 12.4″ digital cluster puts all the essential information you need at eye level, including your speed and range. To the right, an even larger 13.4″ touchscreen infotainment system displays navigation information and allows access to climate control, the audio system, and vehicle settings.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are already installed, together with a WiFi hotspot. You can also add available systems, like a Bose stereo, rear-seat entertainment, and wireless recharging.
The best way to appreciate everything the HUMMER has to offer is to take it for a test drive. Contact us today at Bruner GMC Chevy in Stephenville, TX.
